We provide flexible, personalized learning programs for families in Northern California.
Forest Charter School was among the first area schools in Nevada County to bring personalized education to local students. From the beginning, we have been dedicated to offering a flexible, nurturing learning environment for all students from Transitional Kindergarten through 12th Grade. By providing homeschool and hybrid options, we offer a higher degree of freedom and flexibility for our student’s learning methods. We emphasize a collaborative approach between students, parents, and teachers to cater to the individual needs of every one of our learners.

Part of our personalized learning approach includes allowing students to explore the topics and use curriculum that appeals the most to them, while still meeting California state standards. Students at Forest Charter School receive a great deal of attention from teachers and have a wide range of opportunities to pursue their unique academic interests.

We go the extra mile for our students.
If you’re like many parents, you may have some hesitation about homeschooling or hybrid learning. However, we provide the support and resources needed to help your student succeed. If students are falling behind, we provide early intervention to keep them from falling through the cracks. Alternatively, if your student is not being challenged enough, we can provide opportunities for more advanced learning to keep them engaged and inspired. We also offer Chromebooks and other technology for students who need it along with direct access to teachers via phone, email or in-person meetings.
Our aim is to build personal relationships with every family here at Forest Charter School, so we can continue to foster a nurturing, effective learning environment where students feel safe, comfortable, and excited to learn.
